INTRODUCING – MULTIBLE OUTPUTS.

The permaculture design model

makes use of connections that are made between components in the final design.  So, in much the same way as there are useful connections between sun, plants, insects and soil so there are also useful connections between different plants and their relationship to the landscape and humans. 

Another innovation of the permaculture design is to design a land use or other system that has multiple outputs.

A useful connection is viewed as one that maximises power:

that is, it maximises the rate of useful energy transformation.  A comparison which illustrates this is between a pig run system and a garden.  If the pigs have access to numerous runs, then all or some of these can be used as gardens to grow crops.  After the crops are harvested then the pigs are allowed into forage and clean up the remaining vegetation. If the run is chook proof, then why not allow the chickens to spread all the pig manure around before replanting the next crop? Text from Elisabeth Ferkonia

Muundo wa muundo wa permaculture
hufanya matumizi ya viunganisho vinavyotengenezwa kati ya vipengele katika muundo wa mwisho. Kwa hivyo, kwa njia sawa na vile kuna uhusiano muhimu kati ya jua, mimea, wadudu na udongo kwa hivyo kuna uhusiano muhimu kati ya mimea tofauti na uhusiano wao na mazingira na wanadamu.
Ubunifu mwingine wa muundo wa kilimo cha kudumu ni kubuni matumizi ya ardhi au mfumo mwingine ambao una matokeo mengi.
Muunganisho muhimu unatazamwa kama ule unaoongeza nguvu:
yaani, huongeza kiwango cha mabadiliko ya nishati muhimu. Ulinganisho ambao unaonyesha hii ni kati ya mfumo wa kukimbia nguruwe na bustani. Ikiwa nguruwe wanaweza kupata kukimbia nyingi, basi zote au baadhi ya hizi zinaweza kutumika kama bustani kukuza mazao. Baada ya mazao kuvunwa basi nguruwe huruhusiwa kutafuta malisho na kusafisha mimea iliyobaki. Eco systems such as mature rain forests have a huge number of relationships between its component parts.
