WINGED BEANS - Psophocarpus tetragonolobus

 

The leaves of a certain variety of winged bean are suitable for eating.  This is the variety that is popular with the people of PNG and if you are fortunate to come across this variety it is well worth growing on for seed and dispersing into the community.  Not only are the leaves and the pods good for eating but also the roots and flowers.
